   Areas affected...Eastern TN...northeast AL...northwest GA

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 31...

   Valid 090255Z - 090400Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 31
   continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat appears to be decreasing across ww31. New
   watch is not anticipated.

DISCUSSION...Band of frontal convection has struggled to organize
and produce meaningful severe this evening. While marginally severe
hail has been noted in some of the stronger updrafts, lapse rates do
not support particularly large hail given the observed
moisture/instability. Current broken line of storms is progressing
east-southeast across the eastern part of the watch at roughly 30kt
and aside from locally strong wind gusts it appears this activity
should remain mostly sub-severe the rest of tonight. New ww is not
   anticipated.
