   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     CENTRAL...EASTERN AND SOUTHERN ALABAMA
     WESTERN/CENTRAL PANHANDLE OF FLORIDA
     WESTERN AND NORTHERN GEORGIA
     EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN MISSISSIPPI
     COASTAL WATERS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY MORNING FROM 100 AM UNTIL 800 AM CST.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SEVERAL DAMAGING WIND GUSTS WITH A FEW SIGNIFICANT GUSTS TO 75
       MPH POSSIBLE

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 85
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES WEST
   SOUTHWEST OF PENSACOLA FLORIDA TO 45 MILES NORTHWEST OF ATLANTA
   GEORGIA.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.

   17...WW 19...WW 20...

   DISCUSSION...BANDS OF SVR TSTMS WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER DAMAGING-WIND
   POTENTIAL FROM BOW/LEWP FORMATIONS...AS THEY MOVE INTO FAVORABLY
   MOIST AND AT LEAST MRGLLY UNSTABLE AIR MASS ACROSS WW AREA.  TORNADO
   THREAT STILL EXISTS BUT APPEARS MRGL AND GRADUALLY DIMINISHING
   OVERNIGHT...GIVEN PRESENCE OF STRONGER LOW-LEVEL AND DEEP SHEAR
   FARTHER N.

   AVIATION...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT
   TO 1 INCH. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND GUSTS TO 65 KNOTS.
   A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 450. MEAN STORM MOTION
   VECTOR 24035.
